Awareness Meeting to minimise man elephant conflict held at Udalguri


Bamunjuli : Under the banner of Adhunik India Foundation has organised an Awareness camp on the topic of “How to Minimise Man Elephant Conflict” at Bamunjuli Community Hall, district of Udalguri .The meeting was chaired by retired Professfer of Khoirabari College and Sr .Journalist Mr. Hareswar Kalita. On the meeting chief guest Additional Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri district Dithakananda Hazarika, ACS and Incharge of S.D.O (Civil), A.C.F of Dhanisiri Forest Division Mr. Dibakar Das Udalguri, Inspector 37 Bn Mangaldoi BOP Samrang Mr. Arun Doley, Ranger of Nonai Range Mr.Satyaram Boro, Nonaikhas Gaonburah Mr. Gulap Behera, Nonaikhuti Gaonburah Smt.Dukuna Newar and other social workers of that area which was attended by large number of local people. 
The meeting was an opportunity for the people to interact with the Govt.Official to sort out the problem. People too describe their difficulties faced and opinioned to help in their needs of time from the Govt. side. On the meeting Chief Guest Mr Dithakananda Hazarika said that elephant is a natural resources which we should maintain balance between man and elephant. He also said that man has encroached the elephant land and itself brought this problem. To minimise this he suggested to organise more awareness meeting between people to bring below the conflicts. He too said a very nice word that elephant damages a house bring fortune in that’s person life.
